Chesterfield is just over the border in Derbyshire, and it's an area we cover. 15 years on the tools, and the person who quotes the job is the person who does it.

The job below was a full re-roof with solar built into the roof, not bolted on top. The old roof came off back to the rafters, new breathable membrane and battens went on, then the in-roof solar mounting kit, then new tiles and flashings around the panels.

A recent Chesterfield job.

Re-roof and solar install

During the job

The old roof stripped back to the rafters, next to the chimney stack — Old tiles off and the roof stripped back to the rafters

The roof stripped back where two slopes meet, before the new roof went on — Stripped back at the hip, ready for the new roof

Blue breathable roofing membrane and new battens fixed across both slopes — New breathable membrane and battens on both slopes

The in-roof solar mounting trays fitted across the roof, with the first panels in above them — In-roof solar mounting trays going in, panels above

Finished

The finished roof with new grey tiles around the solar panels set into the roof — Finished: new tiles with the solar panels set into the roof

The solar array from the gutter line, with new grey tiles each side and the old neighbouring roof beyond — The array from the gutter line, new tiles each side

The solar panels and new tiles from the other side of the roof — Solar panels and new tiles from the other side

New tiles and flashings dressed up to the chimney beside the solar panels — New tiles and flashings dressed up to the chimney
