Who we are

CarClay Roofing is a roofing contractor working across Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster and the surrounding areas of South Yorkshire. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for the information you give us. Contact: info@carclayroofing.com.

What we collect

Only what you send us: your name, phone number, email address, property address or postcode, and whatever you tell us about the work you need — whether that comes by our contact form, WhatsApp, Facebook or a phone call.

What we do with it

Reply to your enquiry, quote the work, arrange a visit, carry out the job and keep our own records. That's it. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

Our lawful basis

Consent when you contact us, contract when we carry out work for you, and legitimate interest in running the business.

Who else sees it

Our accountant and, where relevant, the software we use to run the business — our email provider (Microsoft), our form provider, and WhatsApp/Meta if you message us there. All are required to protect your data.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it to do the work and meet our legal and tax obligations, then we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email info@carclayroofing.com and we'll sort it. If you're not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
